We’re Hiring: Part-Time Cocktail Bartender (20 hrs/week)
About Us
At Blackbird, we believe that a great cocktail is a perfect balance of tradition, technique, and exceptional hospitality. We are currently looking for a passionate and meticulous Part-Time Cocktail Bartender to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for someone to take on about 20 hours a week, making this the perfect gig to balance with your studies or other commitments. You will be responsible for delivering top-tier drinks and memorable experiences to our guests.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.
What you will be doing:
Preparing and serving a range of classic and signature cocktails with precision and care.
Engaging with guests, offering recommendations, and providing warm, attentive service.
Handling daily bar prep (syrups, garnishes, fresh juices) to ensure smooth service.
Maintaining a spotless and organized workspace behind the bar.
Managing stock levels and assisting with opening/closing duties.
About You
You don't need decades of experience, but you do need a genuine passion for the craft and a sharp eye for the little things.
What we’re looking for:
Classic Cocktail Knowledge: You know your way around an Old Fashioned, a Negroni, a Daiquiri, and a dry Martini. You understand the fundamental formulas of classic mixology.
Attention to Detail: From nailing the exact specs of a recipe to placing the perfect garnish and keeping your station clean, you sweat the small stuff.
Reliability & Flexibility: You are available for evening and weekend shifts. We are happy to work around your university timetable!
Great Communication: You enjoy chatting with people, reading the room, and working collaboratively with a close-knit team.
Valid Certifications: You hold a current RSA / Food Handling Certificate.
