About the Role At Marmont, we believe that high-end service doesn't have to be formal. We are currently seeking experienced Section Waiters who can strike the perfect balance between professional polish and genuine, relaxed personality.

As a Section Waiter, you will be the face of our venue. You aren't just "taking orders"—you are managing the energy of your section, guiding guests through our menu, and ensuring the vibe remains as high-quality as the food on the plate.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own Your Section: Manage the flow of guests with confidence, ensuring service is seamless from the first greeting to the final farewell.
  • Curate the Experience: Use your product knowledge to make intuitive recommendations on our menu and beverage pairings.
  • Collaborate: Work in lock-step with our kitchen and bar teams to ensure timing is precise and standards are met.
  • Maintain the Standard: Keep your station organized and the dining room looking sharp, even when the rush hits.

Who You Are:

  • The Professional: You have 2+ years of experience in premium or refined casual environments. You know how to read a table.
  • The Local Expert: You have a solid grasp of wine, spirits, and Melbourne’s dining culture.
  • The Communicator: You’re warm, articulate, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • The Essential: You hold a valid Victorian RSA and have full rights to work in Australia.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Waitstaff
Waitstaff (Fine Dining)

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a server or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant.

  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is required.
