The Marrickville Hotel seeks a full time Venue Manager with a love of bartending that enjoys managing the day to day needs of the venue, staff and patrons. 

The role

• Full-time: approx 43 hours over 5 days (3 closes)
• $85-90k + super
• Hands on, service focussed; lead by example as you manage and work alongside the bar team
• Prepare staff rosters and organise cover when required
• Manage customer communications
• Stock ordering and general stock management
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the venue
• Basic reporting requirements
• No kitchen or pokies

We need 

• solid cocktail and drinks knowledge
• reliable and professional attitude with clear communication skills
• understanding of POS, rostering and ordering processes as well as decent computer/systems knowledge.

The role is suited to someone who is looking to step up, learn and contribute. You will need to work well in a small team and will see the results of the decisions you make. The job has balanced hours, with managerial duties primarily done during rostered hours and made up of rostering, stock ordering and product updates. A good knowledge of cocktails is a essential. 

As VM you will come into the role working with an experienced Assistant Manager, as well as shift supervisors to assist. Industry experience is a must, but training is available for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on, service focussed role in a local favourite with friendly customers, great staff and a an atmosphere to match. 

$85-90k+super. 

You will need 1-2 years as a bar supervisor or assistant manager with good drinks knowledge.

Reliable and clear communication is a must, as well as a good understanding of basic POS, rostering and ordering processes.
