JOB DESCRIPTION

Mary’s is seeking a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead front-of-house operations across our two adjoining venues, our burger bar and pizza shop. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving service standards, and owning the flow of service across both spaces.

You will be responsible for leading service in real time, ensuring both venues operate seamlessly while maintaining the energy and standards that define Mary’s. This role is predominantly FOH-focused, with a strong emphasis on leadership, team development, and creating memorable guest interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage service across both venues, ensuring a consistent and high-quality guest experience
  • Take ownership of service flow, identifying pressure points and continuously improving efficiency
  • Be present on the floor, setting the tone, pace, and energy of service
  • Champion Mary’s service culture, ensuring every guest interaction reflects our approach to hospitality
  • Train, mentor, and develop FOH team members to deliver confident and genuine service
  • Work closely with kitchen teams to maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH
  • Lead from the front during high-volume service, remaining calm, organised, and solutions-focused
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and overall venue readiness
  • Support rostering, team performance, and daily operations

REQUIREMENTS

  • RSA
  • Minimum 2 years management experience 
  • Proven experience in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to confidently run service
  • Deep understanding of service flow and guest experience
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable experiences
  • A natural leader who supports, motivates, and holds teams accountable
  • Comfortable managing multiple service areas at once
  • Resilient under pressure with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
  • Clear and effective communicator
