Restaurant Supervisor - Studio Amaro, Melbourne.

35 hours per week | Part-Time

Studio Amaro is looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who loves restaurants, understands what makes a great service, and enjoys being part of a team that takes pride in what they do.

As a Supervisor at Studio Amaro, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant. You’ll be hands-on throughout service, leading the team, looking after our guests and making sure everything runs smoothly from opening through to close.

This is a role for someone who is organised, switched-on and confident taking responsibility, while still being the kind of person who enjoys fostering a healthy workplace culture and cares deeply about guest experience. 

About the Role

Working approximately 35 hours per week, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing restaurant shifts from start to finish
  • Supporting, motivating and managing the front-of-house team
  • Organising sections, staff allocations and breaks to ensure smooth service
  • Maintaining a consistently high standard of hospitality and guest experience
  • Opening and closing the restaurant as required, Including completing strong and accurate end-of-shift responsibilties 
  • Ensuring the team is prepared, organised and ready for service
  • Supporting the training and development of team members
  • Handling guest requests and resolving issues confidently and professionally
  • Communicating clearly with the management team and wider Studio Amaro team
  • Helping maintain the standards, culture and atmosphere that allows Studio Amaro to grow

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience
  • A strong background in high-quality restaurant service
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in section waiting and bar
  • Confidence leading a team during busy and demanding services
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and people-management skills
  • The ability to prioritise, problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
  • Experience with cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to be hands-on
  • The maturity and initiative to take ownership of a shift while knowing when to ask for support
