About the role:
As a Kitchen Steward you will work within the back-of-house operations and provide support to our innovative and busy kitchen. You will provide the highest level of attention to the cleanliness and sanitation of all food and storage outlets.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery.
General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of storage areas, fridges and freezers
Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team.
Assist with the receiving and storing of stock
Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
Ensure all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery & glassware is hygienically and safely stored.
Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer’s instructions.
Operate the dishwasher in line with procedures.
Follow the regular cleaning rosters and standard methods for deep cleaning of floors, walls, coolers, ovens & operating equipment.
Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.
About you:
Experience in a busy restaurant or kitchen environment.
Previous experience handling and working with chemicals.
A professional attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to perform well as part of a team and autonomously.
Excellent personal presentation and attention to detail.
The ability to work a 7-day roster, including late nights and weekends.
Strong communication skills and highly developed organisational skills.
A willingness to learn and grow and a willingness to go above and beyond.
Eligibility to work in Australia - full working rights.
