Front of House Supervisor – Casual Fine Dining | Melbourne

Start: ASAP Where: Southbank, VIC Type: Full time Pay: On application

JOB DESCRIPTION

DON'T settle for just another hospo job.

Here’s the opportunity to make an impact.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive wages, tips and bonuses — Work in a top venue with a rewarding pay package.
  • Convenient location - Palermo is situated less than 10 min walk from Melbourne Central station and very close to trams on Elizabeth St & Bourke St.
  • Stable roster with 40 hours per week — The old hospo standard of back-to-back doubles and unpaid overtime doesn't apply here. You're a person and we know you have a life outside of work.
  • Incredible staff discounts — If you've ever dreamed of experiencing 5-star dining at fast food prices, joining our team is the perfect way to make that happen!
  • Industry-leading training — You will receive unmatched levels of external training relating to supervision & management, hospitality skills, beverage knowledge and many more topics, and we are happy to foot the bill!
  • Real growth potential — One of our current Directors started with us as a Kitchen Hand at San Telmo — this is just one of many examples of our ability to promote from within!
  • Collaborative team culture — Join a supportive, fun and enthusiastic team where your ideas and contributions are valued.

Surely this can’t be for real? Read on....

The San Telmo Group is one of Melbourne’s most respected hospitality groups, operating five venues — San Telmo, Palermo, Asado, Pastuso and Robata. It's an exciting time for the Group — with San Telmo Brisbane, our first interstate venue, also set to open in June 2026! All of our venues are united by the time-honoured practice of cooking over fire — with an emphasis on premium dining, quality produce and exceptional guest experiences.

We are seeking a Full-Time Front of House Supervisor at Palermo! Palermo is an Italian-influenced Argentinian steakhouse; celebrating fire-driven cooking, premium produce and bold South American flavours, all in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager, our Supervisors build capability in others while ensuring every guest's experience meets the standard we’re known for.

As a Front of House Supervisor, your day-to-day will involve:
• Leading services by example, and providing strong support to the FOH team
• Recruiting, training and developing FOH staff
• Handling guest feedback and resolving escalations
• Executing cash-ups and other opening & closing procedures
