We’re looking for someone with solid supervisor or management experience in a respected, food and beverage-focused Melbourne venue. Ideally, you'll have a genuine interest in wine, cocktails, service, team leadership and the small details that make guests feel comfortable, welcomed and looked after.
The right person will be warm, confident, organised and naturally hospitable, someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team, chatting with guests, building regulars and bringing good energy to the venue.
Experience with wine list development, implementation and ordering, cocktail service, recruitment, training, team building, POS systems, bookings platforms and basic computer/admin work would be a big plus.
You'll need to be comfortable with preparing and administering systems and procedures, ensuring consistent service standards, Human Resources, and the day-to-day details of running a professional but relaxed neighbourhood restaurant.
We’re hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and understands the flexibility that comes with being a hospitality professional - including being available to work at times when others may not.
Working hours for this role will start off as 2pm - 10pm Tuesday - Saturday with the first 2.5 hours of your day being spent on administrative tasks, and assisting the growth and development of the business alongside the owner.
If you are savvy with social media and marketing, those tasks could also be given to you if the capability and availability is available.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
A valid RSA is required for the role.
Any additional formal management, leadership, or other training courses will assist the applicant in their application.
