Cherry Tree Hotel is looking for experienced Bartenders and Waitstaff to join our team.

Located in the heart of Cremorne, just a short walk from East Richmond Station and the MCG, Cherry Tree Hotel is a beautifully renovated, family-owned venue that blends timeless Art Deco architecture with modern design. Featuring a bustling public bar and a premium full table service dining room, we're building a team that takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality in one of Melbourne's most exciting pub venues.

The Role

As a Bartender, you'll be responsible for delivering friendly and efficient service in our busy public bar, preparing cocktails, pouring beers, serving wine and spirits, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

As a Waitstaff member, you'll provide a premium full table service dining experience, confidently taking orders, guiding guests through the food and beverage menu, delivering food and drinks, maintaining your section, and ensuring every guest receives attentive, professional service from arrival to departure.

We're looking for people who:

- Have previous experience as a bartender or waiter/waitress in busy pubs, restaurants or hospitality venues.

- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Deliver warm, professional and genuine customer service.

- Work well as part of a close-knit team.

- Have a passion for food, wine, cocktails and hospitality.

- Hold a current RSA (or are willing to obtain one).

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy pub, restaurant or hospitality venue.

- Previous experience in a bartender and/or full table service waitstaff role.

- Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits and classic cocktails.

- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to be part of a team.

- High attention to detail and pride in maintaining service standards.

- Well-presented, professional and reliable.

- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

- Current Victorian RSA certificate.

- Experience using POS systems

- Wine knowledge
