The Role
As Duty Manager, you'll be the operational heartbeat of the venue day-to-day. You're the first point of contact for guests and team members alike, setting the tone for the shift, keeping things running smoothly across a busy, multi-space pub, and making sure every person who walks through the door leaves wanting to come back.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be on the floor, not in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Secure open and close of the venue
Lead FOH shift operations across food, beverage, guest experience, and recovery
Meet, greet, and genuinely connect with guests
Liaise between FOH and BOH to keep shifts running clean
Manage stock, rostering, and accurate reporting
Uphold venue standards, licensing requirements, and relevant legislation
Bring your team up with you. Teach, guide, and lead by example

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 1 year of duty manager or similar leadership experience
Experience in a high-volume venue (300+ covers)
Exposure to functions and events an advantage
Strong guest focus with the confidence to handle anything a busy pub throws at you
Current RSA certification (VIC)
Someone who takes pride in where they work and the team around them
Interview required
Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
