About us:
The Cricketers Balmain is a place where you can find good food, good times & live sport, in a classic and charming location. We have just undergone a major renovation from top to bottom and buisness is growing fast. 
We have multiple offerings on different levels of the venue. Areas range from the locals front bar, a sports lounge, bisrto area, outdoor beer garden, pool room with a working bar & a private function room on the top floor. 


We are also a part of a larger group of independently owned pubs that band together to help each other out in many different ways. There is always room for growth amongst our venues that are dotted all around the Inner West. Our DMs are our future GMs!   
 
The Position
We're looking for people who would get excited about working in a fast-paced & vibrant venue. Our managers are more than just shift runners. We encourage you to gain a sound understanding and insight into the operations of the business, including staffing & recruitment, back of house operations, cash handling & banking and menu development.
You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and running of this developing venue. We are primarily seeking someone who will be on the floor, leading the team and creating positive and genuine interactions for our patrons.


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Duty Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements:
•    2+ years in a management role in a similar venue.
•    Experience working in a gaming venue. 
•    Strong Food & Beverage knowledge. 
•    Understanding and ability to learn venue reporting and systems on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
•    Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including nights and weekends.
•    A hands on approach whereby you lead by example.
•    Train, performance manage, and motivate staff.
•    You have a genuine passion for the industry and are seeking to pursue a career in hospitality.
•    Ensuring superior service and quality to ensure delivery of outstanding guest experiences.
