Republica, one of St Kilda's renowned beachfront venues, is looking for an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join our team.

Located right on St Kilda Beach, Republica offers a unique hospitality experience with beachfront dining, a vibrant courtyard, live music and a fantastic food and beverage offering.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys leading a team and thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on management role, combining great guest service with strong operational skills and team leadership.

The position offers approximately 30–40 hours per week, with weekend availability essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining high standards of guest service, front-of-house presentation and food and beverage quality.

• Leading, motivating and supporting the team to ensure high productivity and positive staff morale.

• Delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.

• Overseeing daily venue operations, including opening and closing procedures.

• Training, coaching and developing team members.

• Assisting with roster adjustments and daily staff management.

• Managing cash handling, venue set-ups and pack-downs.

• Overseeing compliance, security, entertainment and contractor requirements.

• Ensuring the smooth running of service across the bar and floor.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous supervisory or duty management experience in hospitality.

• Barista skills and the ability to jump in and assist with busy coffee service when required.

• Good knowledge of food and beverage service.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team.

• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.

• Availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays is essential.

• Flexibility to work across a 30–40-hour week.
