JOB DESCRIPTION

This iconic, vibrant, and welcoming dining and events destination is recognised as one of Brisbane’s leading venues for functions ranging from Weddings, Corporate and Special events offering the most versatile event spaces with capacities ranging from 10 to 800+ guests.

As the Full Time Chef de Partie - Banquets, reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

·         Contribute to creative and contemporary menu items, dietary requirements, understand the trends and demands of events

·         Assist in the restaurant kitchen as required

·         Maintaining high standards of preparation and presentation

·         Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices

·         Lead the team from the front

·         A strong understanding of dietary requirements

·         Contribute to a safe, happy and productive work environment

·         Understand and maintain tight food & labour costs

·         Maintain hygiene and safety standards

·         A Work, Health and Safety ambassador

About You:

·         Have full Australian Working rights

·         Understanding of a diverse range of international cuisines is an advantage

·         Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in banquet catering

·         A team player, focused on results and being part of a top performing team

·         Must have flexible work availability due to the nature of the event business

·         Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English

Food Safety Supervisor accreditaion an advantage, but not essential
