We have opportunity for experienced Commis Chef or Cook to join our team.

 

Venue

A classic bistro at heart with a touch of European supper club; Penelope is part restaurant, part lounge & part bar. Located on James Street, his is a place where you can begin the night with a romantic dinner and end it dancing on a table at 1am.  A love child between a Soho hotel lounge, an NYC speakeasy and an LA Supperclub where the focus is never solely on the food or the drinks or the entertainment; rather, a perfect balance between all three.  


About the Role  
We are looking for a passionate and focused Commis Chef or Cook to join our team.

The Applicant Must Be:
- Capable of delivering a high-level product to create a positive guest experience
- Able to maintain excellent mise en place and manage your section autonomously
- Committed to developing a strong understanding of the restaurant’s concepts and menus
- Strong in communication with a positive attitude
- Curious for knowledge and growth
- Able to work well under pressure
- Willing to collaborate with other cooks in a team environment
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Chef/Cook or the relevant qualification in the hospitality industry
- Dedicated and take pride in their work
- Appreciative of quality and pay close attention to detail

  • Willing to work with the other chefs as part of a team environment
  • Dedicated & take pride in their work
  • Appreciate quality & pay close attention to detail

Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
