About the Roles
We’re seeking passionate and skilled Chefs, Chef de Partie (CDP), Senior CDP, and Junior Sous Chefs to join our kitchen team. You’ll work in a dynamic, multi‑functional kitchen supporting everyday bistro service, brewery food service, and elevated pub fare. All positions report directly to the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and prepare your workstation/section with ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients (chopping, peeling, cutting) ahead of service
• Cook and plate menu items to Ghanem Group standards
• Maintain quality, consistency and presentation across all dishes
• Control food costs through portioning, waste minimisation and stock checks
• Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels; notify Head Chef of shortages
• Ensure correct food storage and handling practices
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and compliance with health & safety standards
• Adhere to kitchen policies and procedures, suggesting improvements where appropriate
• Mentor and manage junior staff in your area
• Perform additional duties as directed by Head Chef
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a kitchen of similar size and quality
• Solid knowledge of various cooking methods, tools, and procedures
• Excellent knife skills, strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
• Leadership skills appropriate to level (Junior Sous/CDP/Senior CDP)
• Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
