Café Manager

Start: ASAP Where: Fitzroy North, VIC Type: Full time Pay: $33–$37 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION

Morning Glory is a drive-thru café on Nicholson Street, Fitzroy North. High volume, coffee-led, and a different pace to a standard café floor — the car doesn’t wait, so the bar runs tight.

We need someone to run it day to day.

The role:

  • Running the floor day to day
  • Leading one to two staff per shift
  • All ordering and stock control
  • Opening, closing and service procedures

You’ll need:

  • Barista experience in a high-volume café
  • Previous supervisor or management experience
  • Own transport, and availability for starts as early as 5am

No nights, no split shifts. You’re finished by early afternoon.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

All-rounder

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 1+ years barista experience in a high-volume café
  • Previous supervisor or management experience
  • Confident running a shift solo and leading a small team
  • Comfortable with ordering and stock control
  • Own transport, and available for starts as early as 5am
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willing to obtain
