JOB DESCRIPTION

Anyone can take an order. We're looking for someone who can make someone's day.

At The Burrow, we call this role an Experience Creator.

You'll be the person at the till welcoming customers, remembering names and orders, having a conversation while keeping service moving, and helping turn first-time customers into regulars.

We're located inside the South Sydney Rabbitohs Centre, serving players, staff and a local community that has made The Burrow their cafe.

What you'll do

  • Welcome customers and take orders accurately
  • Operate the till/POS confidently
  • Build genuine relationships with customers and regulars
  • Keep calm, friendly and efficient when we're busy
  • Communicate with the kitchen and coffee team
  • Deliver food and drinks
  • Clear tables and keep the cafe looking sharp
  • Jump in and help wherever the team needs you

There is no "that's not my job" here. We're a team.

Who we're looking for

You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, but you do need to like people.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in customer-facing hospitality
  • Naturally warm and confident with customers
  • Fast and accurate on a till/POS
  • Reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
  • Able to have a conversation while keeping service moving
  • Proud of doing the little things properly
  • Looking for stability and somewhere they can grow

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years' customer-facing cafe or hospitality experience
  • Confident using a POS/till and taking orders accurately
  • Strong spoken English and customer communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
  • Naturally confident engaging with customers and regulars
  • Reliable, punctual and team focused
  • Comfortable delivering orders, clearing tables and maintaining the service area
  • Willing to help across the cafe when required
  • Looking for consistent, long-term work

Personality matters. We can teach systems, but you need to genuinely enjoy looking after people.
