JOB DESCRIPTION

Visit the Dr. for a Goode time.

Dr Goodes is a neighbourhood venue that shifts with the night. We start as a relaxed, design-led pizza and cocktail bar and gradually build into a culturally charged social space — groove-led foundations rolling into disco and house, drawing in locals and the creative vanguard. Funk. Soul. Disco. House. If you can pour a clean drink and read a room as it lifts, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Mixing, building and serving cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our standard, with consistency in prep, presentation and speed

  • Warmly greeting guests, taking orders, upselling and offering genuine recommendations across our drinks and shareable menu

  • Setting up and breaking down the bar each service — stock checks, replenishment, glassware, and keeping the station clean and well-organised

  • Accurately handling payments through POS

  • Practising the highest standard of Responsible Service of Alcohol at all times, and working with management and security to keep the venue safe

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What you'll bring

  • A valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate — essential

  • Minimum 6 months' demonstrated experience in a similar bar or hospitality role

  • Sound drinks knowledge and a passion for service

  • Friendly, professional presentation and the ability to keep your cool when the floor gets busy

  • Availability across evenings, late nights and weekends (we're open Tue–Sun, with shifts running to 3am Fri–Sat)

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a team-first attitude

  • NSW Food Handler Basics Certificate required, or must be willing to obtain
