Experienced Barista / Hospitality Team Member

Piccolo Espresso – DFO South Wharf

Piccolo Espresso is looking for an experienced, reliable and energetic barista to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, makes great coffee, works well under pressure and takes pride in excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

● Making high-quality coffee consistently and efficiently

● Providing friendly, professional customer service

● Taking orders and using POS

● Preparing food including focaccias, toasties and wraps

● Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and food safety standards

● Restocking and helping keep the cafe running smoothly

We’re looking for someone who:

● Has previous barista experience

● Is confident working in a busy cafe

● Can handle busy periods without constant supervision

● Has excellent customer service skills

● Is reliable, punctual and well presented

● Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude

This role is not suitable for someone looking for their first barista job. We want someone experienced who can step behind the machine and contribute from day one.

Employment: Part-time / Full-time

• Minimum 2 years’ barista experience
• Strong experience with specialty coffee
• Confident with espresso, milk texturing and coffee preparation
• Able to work efficiently in a busy cafe environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Well presented, reliable and professional
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

No formal qualifications or certificates required — we are looking for proven experience, great coffee skills and the right attitude.
