Restaurant Hubert is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our talented team. This is a full-time salaried position offering excellent work-life balance, competitive tips, and the opportunity to lead a passionate, quality-driven team.

About Us

Hubert is a restaurant for people who love restaurants. It’s a love letter to the kind of big night out that starts in the bar, takes in a show and lingers long, from Martini and oysters to cheese and Cognac. And maybe even another Martini.

Where old-world Parisian lustre, candlelight, and jazz set the tone for indulgent dining. Step down the spiral staircase and enter a space steeped in romance and history. Velvet drapes, vintage posters, flickering lamps, and a two-storey wine library all play their part in creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and grand.

The menu keeps things French classic but with elevated Central-East Asian details, escargot with XO butter, crispy-skinned duck l’orange and kimchi gratin.

REQUIREMENTS

About the Role

As Bar Manager, you will oversee the seamless operation of Restaurant Hubert’s two bars. Working side by side with Swillhouse Cocktail and Drinks Creative Director Lello Arzedi on an ever evolving, dynamic and beautiful beverage offering.

This role requires someone with a true passion for growing and leading a team, with a focus on their performance, development and wellbeing. Someone who walks the talk, leads from the front and holds themselves to the same standards they uphold in others.

Hubert operates for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, with a famous happy hour, 2 private dining rooms and an art house cinema hosting events most days of the week. It requires someone with proven stamina and a desire to always maintain the highest standards, regardless of the volume.

Key Responsibilities

Alongside this the responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences

  • Managing stock control and ordering

  • Leading and mentoring a team of bartenders

  • Training staff and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

Skills & Experience

You are someone with:

  • Proven bar management experience

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • A comprehensive understanding of restaurant systems

  • A passion for creating memorable experiences
